Comaneci _ you a lie

Last night I saw a band that I knew in a place that I didn’t.

Comaneci is couple (ex trio) of musicians that play amazing folk rock,
yesterday they played for a little odience, half inside and half outside the window,
in Fragilecontinuo, wich is an interesting gallery and shop of self-production projects of many young artists from all the world. Each album cover of them is made by a different artist, the latest was made by “Erica il cane“.

Valero Doval moved from his native Spain to London after studying fine arts in Valencia. Doval has produced illustrations for a diverse range of worldwide clients including Paul Smith, Orange, and Volkswagen. His work is featured in several publications including The Picture Book: Contemporary Illustration by Pentagram and Into the Nature by Die Gestalten Verlag. Doval describes his work as “sometimes about my life, sometimes about the lives of the others, and sometimes about the life of nobody. I love hand-drawn illustration as much as using collage, mixing different things to create something new… I find beauty in diversity, in the combination of dissimilar people, plants, animals, things, spaces, feelings, or thoughts…”

ANOTHER INNER CITY BIKE

simple004_ride

Words from J.RUITER

Our project, simplicity in inner city bicycling, was at first glance a fun aesthetic opportunity in new trends, color, and materials. Our target lived / worked in an inner city environment with minimal space. Bicycling at this level can be more about fashion and culture than speed and performance. After the first few brainstorm sessions we knew there where bigger opportunities. The project ended up rethinking what a “frame” meant, getting ride of basic key components, and creating a new type of compact bicycling. Inspired by the first the “hobby horse” from it’s simplicity and secondly the cafe race scene. Each is an exercise in stripping something down to its core.

Leonid Afremov

Words from Leonid Afremov:

I tried different techniques during my career, but I especially fell in love with painting with oil and pallette-knife. Every artwork is the result of long painting process; every canvas is born during the creative search; every painting is full of my inner world. Each of my paintings brings different mood, colors and emotions. I love to express the beauty, harmony and spirit of this world in my paintings. My heart is completely open to art. Thus, I enjoy creating inspired and beautiful paintings from the bottom of my soul. Each of my artworks reflects my feelings, sensitivity, passion, and the music from my soul. True art is alive and inspired by humanity. I believe that art helps us to be free from aggression and depression.
